Ballet Basics & Dancer Strength Conditioning Class for Kids

Our Ballet Basics & Dancer Strength Conditioning class is designed to build foundational ballet skills while focusing on strength development essential for dancers. The program offers a structured approach to improve technique, flexibility, and muscular conditioning that supports dance performance and injury prevention. This class suits dancers looking to solidify their ballet fundamentals and improve physical conditioning for better performance and resilience. Serving South Jersey and the Philadelphia area.

When & Where

  • Who: Ages 6–15
  • When: Each Tuesday, 5:00–6:30 PM
  • Where: DanceSport Studio (4 Eves Dr. Suite 114A, Marlton, NJ 08053)

Your Instructor

Taught by a professional holding a Master’s degree in Dance Education with PK–12 Dance Teacher Certification (NJ CEAS) from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Education, and certified as a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS).

What Kids Will Learn

  • Development of core strength, balance, and endurance to support technique and performance.
  • Mastery of basic ballet movements and alignment fundamentals to improve overall dance ability and resilience.
  • Exercises and conditioning designed with injury prevention and long-term dancer health in mind.

Class Structure (Typical 90-minute session)

  • Mobility warm‑up
  • Ballet barre
